The name is Jack Pizzitola – no middle initial, but that’s all that’s missing here. Jack is the real deal. You hear people say, “I’ve been in Houston for 20 years.” Well, Jack’s family has been in Houston for 120 years. He was born here. Jack’s sense of duty, idealism and integrity come naturally. His dad and four uncles served in WWII. They were men of their word, men you could trust, who always did the right thing. Jack grew up in that environment. He practices those principles today, because to him there is no other way. Jack’s drive and creativity gets things done that others will not or cannot try, which helps explain why his experience is impressive – audit, IT, and venture capital business development. In each role he over-delivered on time and on budget. He rose to the top of his peer groups, and gained the reputation of a “stealth” competitor; never overtly, just quietly – intensely competitive. Jack has an optimistic outlook that searches for the good, rather than the bad in people. A significant dose of self confidence, combined with a natural talent and experience accounts for why Jack has been able to request the hardest, most unpleasant assignments and complete them with success. Give him the orphan organization that is rudderless and leaderless. Give him the “B-team”, and he’ll make it the “A-team.” Jack earned his B.B.A. Degree in 1981 from Abilene Christian University. From 1983 through 1997, he worked at Texaco in various capacities including senior internal auditor; manager credit and collections for Texaco Natural Gas; and manager of information systems for Texaco Natural Gas. Then for the following three years Jack worked for Koch Industries Inc. in various roles: Vice President IT/Koch Energy, Koch Natural Gas Liquids, Koch Chemical; CFO, Koch Industries IT; and Director, Internet Business Strategies, Koch Ventures Inc. In 2000, Jack joined Dynegy as Vice President of Technology Strategy and Ventures. He left in 2003. Jack has four children which means he’s not hunting and fishing as much as would like, but his other two hobbies, gardening and carpentry, can be practiced close to home. If you don’t know how to get the job done, then you don’t know Jack. |
