In addition, another $1 million of unrecorded but disputed receivables were identified. Thinking out of the box, rather than circularize receivables in the traditional manner of asking customers to confirm specific balances, instead, sent questionnaires to all material current and past (within the last two years) customers, vendors and suppliers. The customers sent in replies which identified old or stale items on their payable ledger that they were eager to resolve and remove. |
